Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., Ph.d. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, January 15, 1929 – died in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, April 4, 1968 at the age of 39 years. He is a Nobel Laureate, human rights activist and Baptist preacher he is citizens of African-Americans.
He was one of the most important leaders in u.s. history and in the history of non-violence in modern times, and is regarded as a hero, the creators of peace and a martyr by many people around the world. One and a half decades after assassination against him in 1968, the United States set a holiday to commemorate, that Martin Luther King Day.

The Life Of Martin Luther King, Jr.
King was born in Atlanta, Georgia of the Reverend Martin Luther King, SR. and Alberta Williams King. He married Coretta Scott on June 18, 1953. He graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts (sociology) in 1948, and from Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Divinity (Bachelor of Theology) in 1951. He holds a Ph.d. in systematic theology from Boston University in 1955.
King was a pastor of a Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama that fought against racial discrimination. In 1963, King led a bus boycott demonstration in Birmingham. A boycott was done without the use of violence. He followed the principles of Mahatma Gandhi who did resistance by avoiding violence. For several years, he made a great success, but gradually the young black people stay away because they can't accept anti violence. Instead, King has never stopped and extended the program.
As a result of his actions in opposing discrimination against Blacks, the King imprisoned in the prison Birmingham. In prison, he wrote a letter titled, letter from Birmingham Jail, in his letter, King stated that he felt called upon to voice prophetic voice against injustice happened in his day.
He also criticised those who disagree against a boycott of the Bus in Birmingham. For him, they are the ones who are insensitive and can not do an analysis of the main causes of boycott it. According to King, they were lulled into a State of happened and unable to break the domination of white people.
